Why You Must Save $25,000 Right Now
Yesterday while writing my book I was doing some research. The research was really eye-opening and yet I am surprised and at the same time not surprised.
According to a Gobankrate.com survey, 57% of Americans have less than $500 in their bank account and 18% have nothing in their account.
That means any minor inconvenience in life could plaster their hopes of becoming financially free in hours with seconds. Car accidents take a second but could be your demise if you don't prepare.
Thinking about that whole ordeal I believe people don't prepare enough for uncertainty. And the best way to prepare for uncertainty is by having money. Lots and lots and lots and lots of money.
I define lots and lots and lots of money as $25,000. That's why in the new book I'm writing I tell all men it's mandatory for them to save $25,000 after they've paid off their debts. Having a wonderful amount of money saved helps you make better decisions in life.
I personally remember not being able to pay for $2 worth of home fries at one of my first jobs. My friend had just gotten me a job at Bob Evans as a grill cook. I just got into work from training all day with my personal trainer. I was starving and didn't get a chance to eat. So I ate some home fries from the grill that had been burnt there since the morning. Mind you it's now almost dinner shift.
My manager caught me and wanted me to pay for it. I didn't have $2 at all in my bank account. Luckily my friend stepped up and paid for it for me unknowing that I didn't have the money. He probably saw it on my face or something. You may think there's no way that I didn't have $2. But 18% of Americans right now That is 56,520,000 people and I did not have the money.
I hope you take this as a sign to start saving money right now. Make an effort to get to three jobs if you have to save that money. I was working three jobs to save money, which ended up with my biggest accomplishment of saving $10,000 in a single month.
That is all for today.
The Beginning...
P.S
Just hired a coach to help me start planning new things for the brand and the company. Well once I find my credit card I will pay for it.
