Why did no one tell me that death will hit harder as you get older?
I had a friend who committed suicide...
I had another friend who died from cancer...
I had another friend who died in the military...
I had another friend who died on a motorcycle...
The biggest thing no one tells you about getting older is seeing your friend, family, and others die.
For the past couple of years, I had people die every year...
Conversation with people on how to support them.
Conversation with your mind about how you want to deal with it.
Conversation with your others about what you want to share.
We can not escape it and it will not ever be an easy topic.
so....
When someone dies that I know...
I feel a responsibility that I never did enough.
I had a friend that always messaged me and checked on me.
I did not always text back and even let the calls go...
Now they are gone and I feel a slight regret...
However, I do feel that I must do better with people around me now...
The moral of today's email is for you to hug your family a little tighter, tell your friends you love them and be kind to strangers.
Because death is always looming...
I love you...
See you tomorrow...
P.S
No one is going to know how to help you.
You have to educate others on how you want to be supported.
Even your soul mate will need to be educated by you on how to best support you.
Yesterday I cried deeply...
