The #1 Biggest Financial Secret You Must Master To Reach The 1%... Part 10
This Needs To Be More Common Knowledge
Today was a good day. I took a moment and thought about where I am in life right now. Just 10 weeks ago I had $5.06 in my bank account. Now I have savings and make almost $10,000 a month from my jobs.
Today was the 1st day I did nothing and rested. I have been working non-stop for about 2 months and sleeping less than 6 hours a night. And Sunday I am going to go out and meet up with friends too. This is the 1st time I have been out in over 90 days.
I don’t share this to brag at all. Because I am sharing to highlight what is possible for you if you focus and decide to put yourself 1st. I went to the extreme of getting my finances in order.
I cut off everyone.
I stopped going to church.
I worked on getting a 6 figure job.
I worked on getting a night job.
I cut out all drinking and eating out.
The only thing I focused on was working and increasing my income. I have read enough personal finance books and articles to know this 1 big ever deep secret that is NEVER talked about enough!
You can NOT limit your expenses to the1%. YOU HAVE TO MAKE MORE MONEY!!!!!
I’ll stop being dramatic…
However…
You have to increase your income.
Skip all the personal finance articles and books. The biggest secret is you must make more money. When you make more money you can pay off debt quicker, save money faster, use the extra money to start a side business, and even invest and get a greater return too. When you make more money life is better.
Brother, trust me you are going to feel a huge calm in your financial life when you start making an extra $500, $1000, and even $5000 on top of what you are making now. I went from budgeting $300 a month to now being able to pay over $2000 a month on my credit card. The exact amount is $5200. I literally just ran the numbers.
Once my credit card is paid off. That is an extra $5200 dollars that comes into my pocket every month instead of my credit card. In total that is almost $8000 coming into my pocket.
In all, I hope you understand and master this secret wholeheartedly. You MUST focus your energy on increasing your income.
Bertrand Ngampa's Money Game Plan
I have been all over the place with my money plan. So I decided to gamify the savings portion. I created a board that starts with $1 and goes up to $100,000. That way I visually see all my savings success and on key amounts like $1000, $5000, and beyond I list a gift I am going to get myself from 10% of the total money saved. Example:
$1000 saved = $100 to spend = fitness watch
$5000 saved = $500 to spend = nothing
$10,000 saved = $1000 to spend = Tip for a waiter
$100,000 saved = $10,000 to spend = upgrade computer and podcast equipment
I did this because saving money is boring and not as sexy as closing sales and or paychecks deposited into my account. I love playing games and I am a winner. It’s fun too.
Beside that…
I decided to focus on paying for my credit card. I was offered 2 amazing opportunities and I said no because my main focus is paying off my credit card.
Also, I am going to launch my credit repair business too. Because I can not reach the 1% by budgeting and cutting back on expenses. Truth be told I love spending money on experiences and things I value. Especially with good people.
I have a dilemma going on right now. My sole focus is to pay off my credit card, get business credit, and invest that money. But I do know that fast action wins and you can not be successful unless you are selling something in America. The level of success I want requires me to solve HUGE PROBLEMS and get paid!
I was supposed to open a credit repair agency but now I want to focus on paying off my debt big time. (Huge contradiction to what I just wrote above)
My timeline has paid off in April but I can do it by January if I push hard and I am pushing hard.
My other dilemma…
Well, not really a dilemma.
Tom Smyth told me to think bigger when he came on my podcast. He is about to own 1000 apartments in Belfast. And he said if he knew earlier what he was capable of he would have 10X everything in his vision. SO I decided to give myself permission to think 10X all my goals and life too.
The first stop is yearly income. Instead of $250,000 yearly, I am going to earn $2,500,000 yearly. Financial freedom is not the goal but opportunity giver is the bigger goal. I want to become the one giving people opportunities and 6-figure jobs.
What I Am Currently Reading & Listening To...
I am reading Way of the Reaper by Nicholas Irving. It is an audiobook and a deep wild ride about being a sniper and military special operations life. Nicholas was a special operation ranger sniper that killed 33 enemies to get the nickname The Reaper.
How Money Works “Stop being a sucker”: I am going to interview Steve Siebold and I wanted to read his latest book so I can understand where he is in life and what he is currently thinking about.
Health
Future investments are gone for now. I wanted to give you a more holistic view of my journey, because what is the point of having money, visions, and goals if you don’t have the energy at all… So I am going to share my workout of the week.
There are a lot of squats, lunges, and leg routines. I am highly focused on these movements because the lower body has the biggest muscle. When squatting every day your body becomes super adaptable. Also, your testosterone (test) levels will rapidly increase and because you have more “test” in your body it will make it easier to build muscle, get lean, and burn fat.
