Hey Friend,
Yesterday I jumped out of an airplane at night.
I was nervous, fearful, and the least bit excited.
Actually, I am not a fan of heights, and yet...
I found myself jumping out of airplanes for the U.S Army.
I went to the bathroom probably 4 times before actually putting on my parachute.
The whole time I was mentally working through my responsibility when I jump out.
I was also trying to relax...
The best thing about yesterday was landing safely on the ground.
The next best thing was having my team cheer me in when I was coming in from where I landed.
Because of that, the Command Sergent Major came up to be.
Command Sergent Major is equivalent to a District Manager of a Fortune 50 company.
So it was a big deal that we spoke...
But one of the best parts of our conversation was the piece on fear.
He told me and I quote "If I stop being fearfully when I jump out of airplanes then you should stop jumping. The fear is what keeps you alert and making sure that you are doing the right thing every time."
I agree...
Even though I am full of fear I still jump out of the airplane...
Many times you hear about being fearless and that fear is bad.
I will argue that fear is just a natural response of your mind to keep you alive.
With that, you have to push past all those crazy ideas that fear tells you and still execute.
Fear is a natural response of the body.
Always remember you are the master of your body NOT fear!
Be the master and push past the fear.
I love you…
Happy Sunday…
See you tomorrow…
P.S
I got to take this dope picture before our night jump.
It will probably become my new profile picture…
For now, I am just enjoying it…
